exFan recently held its consortium meeting in San Sebastian, Donostia, Spain, on June 5-6, 2024, hosted at CIDETEC Surface Engineering. This General Assembly Meeting (M06) was a key event focused on evaluating the progress of the exFan project, which aims to develop a novel recuperation system to maximize exergy from anergy for hydrogen-powered, fuel cell-based electric aircraft propulsion systems.
During the meeting, the consortium addressed critical issues related to the project's management (WP1) and the strategies for dissemination, communication, and exploitation (WP2). Key findings from Work Package 3 (WP3) were presented, detailing the propulsion system requirements and layout. Furthermore, internal workshops (WP4) were conducted to discuss the specific requirements of exFan components. The gathering provided an essential platform for partners to collaborate, share insights, and advance the project's innovative solutions for sustainable aviation.
