Within the course “Renewable Energy Systems and System Simulation”, exFan project was presented as an industrial application using OpenModelica at Konstanz University of Applied Sciences on 12th of January 2026, showing how system-level simulation supports the development of advanced propulsion concepts.
The session introduced students to how modeling and simulation help connect renewable energy systems, hydrogen technologies, and aircraft propulsion in a real project context. The presentation, delivered by Philipp Jordan (PiD), also opened a lively discussion with students and Prof. Dr. Peter Stein around the role of simulation in engineering decision-making.
